Waialae Falls (or Wai'alae Falls) is a another tall waterfall nestled deep in Waimea Canyon. But if you intend to view this waterfall from the ground, you'll only get a disappointing distant view as shown above. That view came from the Kukui Trailhead. Perhaps if you hike one of the trails leaving from there, you could get a better view (we didn't bother), but we'll leave it up to you to determine if it's worth the effort or not.
This waterfall is best seen by helicopter though it really depends on the pilot how much of the falls you get to see. I've provided some photos below to give you a look at what's possible.
It's only through the helicopter that you can tell the waterfall plunges in several distinct leaps. There is also a pleasantly isolated (though small) waterfall further upstream from the main falls in Waimea Canyon.
