The Kepler Cascades is an pleasant 100ft cascade on the Firehole River dropping in several tiers. It's a short drive from Old Faithful (maybe under 3 miles east) to get to the well-signed lookout, where you'll be standing on a high wooden platform looking down on the waterfalls.Nearby the car park for this cascade, there's also the popular Lone Star Geyser trail, which is one of the few geysers that erupts regularly outside the main Upper Geyser Basin. Getting here, however, requires close to a 5-mile return hike.
