Like an apparition, Wraith Falls appears suddenly on the cliff as a white bulb on Lupine Creek. It tumbles some 90ft, but can dry up late in the summer. The falls is really more of a cascade (or rapids) due to its low slope angle, but appears like a legitimate waterfall when viewed straight on.Your view of the falls is a bit distant from the end of the one-mile trail (return) through Lupine Meadow. Although this is highly discouraged, I think if you're willing to scramble off trail amongst the bush and dry branches, you can do what Rubenstein, et al. did in a photograph of their waterfall book and get pretty close to the falls itself. The trailhead is about a mile east of Undine Falls or 5 miles east of Mammoth on the Grand Loop Road.
